Steve Jobs was a tireless entrepreneur and a legend during his lifetime. He was both an innovator and a visionary.
He co-founded Apple with his friend Steve Wozniak in 1976.
They built their first computer, the Apple I, in Jobs’ parents’ garage.
The Apple II followed, selling 2 million units worldwide and quickly making Steve Jobs famous and wealthy.
He also founded two new companies, one called NeXT and the other, Pixar. Pixar went on to make Toy Story, the first computer-animated film.
Apple would successfully create and launch the iMac, iPod, iPhone, and iPad under his leadership, unveiling the various devices over a multi-year period in his legendary keynotes and making his firm the world’s most valuable company.
He also had a strong point of view. His forthright ideas on business, art, entrepreneurship, and how to make the most of life are straightforward but often unexpectedly sensible, as he is not one to pull punches.
